NCWIT AiC Awardee Day

NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) is pleased to announce that October 11, 2021 will be NCWIT AiC Awardee Day.

This event gives #NCWITAiC Award recipients an opportunity to share how being recognized has impacted their lives and to encourage others to apply. It’s also a chance for NCWIT to raise visibility for the thousands of AiC Community members who are revolutionizing the face of technology.

Who Can Participate

We welcome participation from all past recipients of the three AiC awards: the Award for AiC, the NCWIT Collegiate Award, and the AiC Educator Award. This includes all award designations at the National and Regional Affiliate levels (Winner, Honorable Mention, Rising Star, Certificate of Distinction, etc.).

How to Participate

Here are some ways to participate on NCWIT AiC Awardee Day, using the official hashtags #AiCAwardeeDay and #AiCMeansToMe, on social media: 

• Post a picture of yourself with your award on Instagram.
• Add the NCWIT AiC Awardee Day frame to your profile picture on Facebook. (To add the frame to your profile picture on Facebook, just click the camera icon on your profile picture, and select "Add Frame." In the search box, type "NCWIT AiC Awardee Day," select the correct frame, and hit save.)
• Tag a friend, and encourage them to apply.
• Join the day-long conversation on Twitter and Instagram (follow @NCWITAiC for prompts).
• Post a short written or video story about how receiving an award, or membership into the AiC Community in general, has benefitted you.
