NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) is thrilled to showcase our current AiC Stories Ambassadors! The 2024 AiC Stories Ambassadors are being introduced in the NCWIT Media Hub and on @NCWITAiC social media channels between now and the 2025 NCWIT Summit in San Diego!
About this campaign
AiC Story Ambassadors submit videos and are selected to share their stories, inspire others, and encourage persistence in computing and technology. Witness their stories and amplify them to your networks. Visit the AiC Stories campaign page to learn more.
2023 AiC Stories Ambassadors
In January 2024, we announced the first cohort of #AiCstories Ambassadors, who graciously shared their personal tech journeys and provided encouraging advice for the #AiCcommunity in a first-of-its-kind series sponsored by MatchGroup. Now, a free set of posters is also available to download and printi! Post them in your classroom, club, and share them with aspiring technologists who need to hear these stories.
Doreen Joseph
Doreen Joseph is a Ph.D. Candidate in Computer Science at the University of California, Davis with an expected graduation year of 2025. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Cyber Security Engineering with a minor in Math from George Mason University, and a Masters in Computer Science from UC Davis. She joined the Aspirations in Computing Community in May 2022 through the collegiate entry point.

Emily Mendoza is a Junior at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and expects to graduate in 2025. She joined the Aspirations in Computing Community in 2020 after receiving the Aspirations in Computing High School Award.
