
Vivian L.
Vivian attends Tuscaloosa Academy and is in the 12th grade. She has been a member of her school's cheerleading program in the past and has been very involved within her community as a member of First United Methodist Church and Younglife. By earning over 160 service hours so far during her high school career, she has devoted much of her time in order to help her community. She has volunteered for many years at Punkin Knight, one of her town's local fundraisers, and she is the chair of the event this year. She is also a member of Tuscaloosa Civinettes, which is a service organization dedicated to helping the community. Vivian has worked at a part-time job at an art studio for children for about a year, leading open play sessions and hosting birthday parties. She also teaches summer camps and classes and assists in offsite events. Vivian is a member of the National Honor Society, National French Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Computer Honor Society. She has also presented awards at her school's 2022 National Junior Honor Society Induction and 2023 and 2024 National French Honor Society Induction. Vivian relies on technology for a great number of projects, within and outside of her school. She took a Digital Photography class in the past, and she learned how to edit photos on many different programs, such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. In addition, she greatly enjoyed partaking in a Digital Storytelling class a few years ago, as she learned filming techniques and crucial video editing skills. Vivian will take Cybersecurity in the spring, hoping to further her knowledge and skills in technology. She competed at the 2022 IMC3 Competition at the University of West Alabama and won a $1,000 scholarship for placing 2nd in the Graphic Design competition. Vivian plans on going to college in order to major in Creative Media with a double minor in Advertising and Public Relations and Creative Writing, and she hopes to use her computing skills to succeed throughout her career in the film industry and the rest of her life.
