Kitan Akinsola is a Nigerian immigrant, aspiring cybersecurity leader, and passionate advocate for ethics and equity in technology. Her love for technology began in her elementary school computer lab. Now, she is dedicated to ensuring that technology remains safe, ethical, and accessible for all. Kitan actively works to bridge the digital literacy gap and educate teens and the elderly about AI, cybersecurity, and online safety. She is particularly focused on AI ethics, addressing issues like bias, misinformation, and the dangers of deepfake technology. As a coder on her school’s robotics team, she applies her technical skills to problem-solving while expanding her expertise in computer engineering and cybersecurity. Her ultimate goal is to become a Chief of Cybersecurity, protecting technology and the people who rely on it.
