Shreya R.

From her first encounter with technology at the age of six, Shreya was captivated by the possibilities of coding, starting when she intuitively modified a Google page's code. This spark of curiosity led her to community coding courses and to designing her first invention, GloveBot, a programmable automated glove dispenser. Her health tech interests continued when she developed a patent pending flip-flop design aimed at reducing the risk of diabetic foot ulcers. She earned the Congressional Award for Women in STEM. Shreya has further honed her expertise through internships at Duke’s Institute for Health Innovation and MIT’s Wang Lab, where she developed AI-driven tools and machine learning models for health applications. Beyond her technical achievements, Shreya has been an avid participant and leader in robotics, securing accolades in FIRST competitions and mentoring dozens of middle school students, encouraging their pursuit of STEM careers. Through her nonprofit, U Launch, and its AI-driven platform IntelliStart, Shreya is committed to democratizing entrepreneurial education and mentorship. U Launch provides educational resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities to aspiring young entrepreneurs, helping them turn innovative tech solutions into viable ventures. As she pursues her studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Shreya envisions founding an innovation hub focused on creating equitable global health tech solutions.
