Reeti enjoys programming, math, and problem-solving. She is also a strong advocate for gender equality in the field of STEM education across the board. Reeti has been passionate about Computer science from a young age – she competed in the USA Computing Olympiad and the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) Series. In school, she leads in Cyberhawks, a Computer Science club and science Olympiad. She founded STEM 4-Her, an initiative to provide free coding and robotics workshops for girls, especially from underserved school districts, to promote more female participants in STEM fields. For her outreach work in technology and STEM, she has been recognized as a Flight Crew member for Million Girls Moonshot, where she promotes and amplifies youth voices in the national conversations around STEM equity. Flight Crew members are recognized by Vice President Kamala Harris, for their commitment to fighting for gender and racial equity in STEM and for encouraging them to continue their work. She also serves as a youth advisor for the EDGE (Engage and Development for Girls through Engineering) research project for the STEM Next organization, which designs an engineering curriculum specifically focused on girls/female-identifying youth in middle school. She was a winner of NCWIT Impact Award 2023. She conducts research in computational biology and biomedical imaging, exploring computer algorithms and their applications to advance health science. Her project was accepted to present at the TNJSF, MIT-URTC, and JMM conferences.
