Varsha S.
Varsha is a high school senior dedicated to advancing technology through robotics, coding, and community impact. As co-president of both her school’s computer science club and robotics team, Varsha has developed skills across machine learning, app development, and robotics programming, with Python and Swift being her favorite coding languages. Among her proudest achievements is founding PyGirls, an international nonprofit organization offering workshops, mentorship, and events to expand computer science education for elementary and middle school girls. With 1k+ followers on their Instagram page, 50k+ views of their blog and website, and 40+ team members internationally, she can't wait to see what's next. As an alum of Girls Who Code and Kode with Klossy, Varsha is committed to creating inclusive spaces in STEM and increasing access to technology education. Varsha has gained hands-on experience through several internships, including her role at the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology, where she was a part of the Cyber City game exhibit team, an interactive cybersecurity game using Python to teach youth about online safety. She was in charge of coding the game logic using Python and Flask. She also interned at Southwest Research Institute, where she conducted research on robotic arm technology, learning about physics-based modeling and control systems for precision tasks. This experience sparked her interest in developing robotic solutions with real-world applications. In college, Varsha plans to major in electrical engineering, with a vision of innovating in robotics and championing initiatives that empower women and girls in STEM. Her ultimate goal is to harness technology for social impact, blending her technical expertise with her passion for inclusivity and education in tech.
