
Michelle H.
Michelle is a senior at Granite Bay High School from Sacramento, CA. She is passionate about leveraging technology, data, and innovation for social impact. Her research spans machine learning and blockchain security, with published work in vulnerability detection at the IEEE International Conference on Informatics. Beyond research, she is active in competitive programming, mathematics, and hackathons, and has participated in various competitions including the USA Computing Olympiad, AMC, AIME, and more. She is also a strong advocate for ethical technology and equity in computing, working to develop accessible, scalable solutions that reduce bias, increase transparency, and improve the real-world impact of AI and data-driven technologies. This fall, she will attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, majoring in Computer Science, Economics, and Data Science, where she plans to further explore these interdisciplinary applications. Beyond academics, Michelle is passionate about minimizing the gender gap in STEM fields, one way being her work with INTEGIRLS, where she works to support female and non-binary students in mathematics through events, such as competitions, speaker events, and problem-solving sessions. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, trying unique desserts, and solving The New York Times Mini Crossword.
