Angelina K.

Angelina has always been passionate about inventing and promoting technologies for‬ public safety. She combines her‬ expertise in engineering with her commitment to safety through two inventions, one of‬‭ which has been granted a patent and the other pending approval at the United States‬‭ Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She presented her research on lifeguard scout and rescue drones at the‬‭ Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and the Institute of‬‭ Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) conferences. Angelina's awards include the 2024 IEEE Presidents’‬ Scholarship (2024), a Grand Award at ISEF (2024), the SWENext Global Innovator‬ Award (2024), and the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing National Winner Award (2025) and Impact Award (2023). Angelina‬ serves as the President of All Girls STEM Society, a student-run nonprofit organization‬ that aspires to ameliorate the underrepresentation of women in STEM fields by hosting‬ free monthly STEM workshops and NASA ASTRO CAMPs® to over 9,000+ girls from‬ 300+ schools in the San Diego area. She’ll continue studying technology in college and promoting her company, AngelTech LLC, by programming enhanced control that would allow for faster emergency response within her lifeguard drones.
