
Madeline G.
Madeline is a passionate Computer Science educator, mentor, and advocate for expanding access to technology education. She has been recognized as one of the top 100 teachers in the United States for teaching Computer Science and was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award – Regional Winner for the state of Illinois in 2023.
With a strong background in Computer Science and Mathematics, Madeline began her teaching career in 2013 and has since dedicated herself to developing engaging curricula that inspire students to explore programming, problem-solving, and innovation. She serves as a Chicago Public School Facilitator/Mentor, PLC Leader, Sponsor of the Computer Science National Honor Society, and Facilitator of the AP Computer Science Principles and Exploring Computer Science curricula.
Madeline is particularly proud of her work in mentoring new Computer Science educators and creating hands-on learning experiences that make complex concepts accessible. She believes in the power of technology to transform lives and is committed to preparing students for future careers in STEM.
Looking ahead, Madeline aims to expand her impact by developing a YouTube channel focused on Computer Science education, creating resources for both students and educators. She also hopes to continue advocating for increased diversity in technology fields and inspiring the next generation of innovators.
One of her favorite quotes, which she shares with both students and fellow educators, is: “The struggles you’re in today are developing the strength you need for tomorrow.”
