Keethan K.

An alum of the class of 2009, Keethan returned to NCSSM as an instructor of computer science in 2016. He has a background in artificial intelligence and teaches a variety of courses at all programming skill levels, including computer science research, during the school year and summer. He is passionate about teaching, access to programming education, and school service. He has collaborated to restructure and further develop the Computer Science program and its courses, including Summer Accelerator, Open Enrollment, and interdisciplinary courses. He has served in Faculty Senate leadership, in the University of North Carolina System Faculty Assembly, and on a number of committees and school planning teams, including the academic planning team for the Morganton campus. His undergraduate and graduate research was in natural language processing. Between graduating and returning to teach at NCSSM, he worked as a software engineer in natural language generation.
