Jaclyn B.

Jaclyn plans on working towards a bachelor's degree in Data Science and then a Master of Public Administration. She is currently the president of her school's physics club where she put together three engineering teams to compete in the Jet Propulsion Lab invention contest. She is very involved on campus as treasurer and regional medalist of Science Olympiad, president of the Genders and Sexuality Alliance, and Linux specialist within Cyberpatriot. She plans on pursuing a career in policy analysis with an emphasis on using data science to fight gender, racial, economic, and LGBTQ injustices in society. She believes that IT is the path forward to build a more democratic, unified country. Currently, she is an intern at the community theater as a lighting designer where she enjoys using software and technology for creativity and joy. In her free time, she loves reading about sociology, history, and literature.
