
Ivanna G.
Ivanna's dream since elementary school has been to work with computers. Currently she is an Education Program Manager at The Dottie Rose Foundation serving to connect the dots within the technology and computer science sphere to educate, support, and inspire the next generation. She leads the StackBytes program- teaching High School girls across North Carolina Full Stack development.
She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Web Development and a minor in math. She has a Masters in Teaching Technology and Engineering from UNC Charlotte. She has worked at the Game+Learning lab at UNC Charlotte creating games that teach computer science concepts to children. She has worked as a Computer Science educator for CMS Schools and helped 100 students obtain various Microsoft certifications. She has volunteered at the Microsoft Digigirlz Summer Program. Previously she worked as an IT Consultant for 5 years. In 2013 she coordinated a summer camp for middle school girls called "Girls & Tech" from the Aspire IT NCWIT grant. This camp focused on using Kodu, CS Unplugged, and Khan Academy to teach computer science concepts.
With her passion for promoting computer science education and her exceptional skills as an educator and IT consultant, Ivanna A. Gutierrez continues to make a significant impact on the future of technology and the empowerment of young minds.
