Eve J.
Eve Juarez received Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Southern Methodist University. After graduating, she worked as a Senior Software Engineer for ten years at E-Systems, Inc. Although she enjoyed the challenges of developing software, her work with children through Big Brothers Big Sisters as well as teaching her Sunday pre-school class convinced Eve to follow her passion for teaching where she taught 4th-6th grade students for 14 years. Eve immersed her students in projects from the Stock Market Challenge to building greenhouses that would survive on the moon. In 2012, Ursuline Academy of Dallas offered Eve the opportunity to return to her programming roots and inspire high school girls to enter STEM related fields. Eve jumped at the opportunity where she is Computer Science Department Chair and is currently teaching computer science courses including Applied Robotics and Engineering Design Innovation. In addition, Eve serves as a moderator for the Computer Science and Robotics clubs. In her spare time, Eve enjoys running, cycling, and hiking. Her most favorite trek was competing the Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile pilgrimage across Spain.
