Etasha Donthi, 20, is a fiercely passionate activist, entrepreneur, and change-maker, as well as a student at UC Berkeley studying Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, dedicated to harnessing the power of technology for social good. She is the founder and host behind She The Change, a Forbes-featured podcast with a strong focus on bridging the gender gap in male-dominated fields, particularly STEM. Every episode of She The Change introduces remarkable young women who have triumphed over obstacles in traditionally male-dominated arenas. By showcasing the achievements of these leaders, Etasha sparks inspiration among listeners. The podcast acts as a catalyst, empowering individuals to pursue their dreams in male-dominated fields and take the lead in their own initiatives and nonprofits. She also co-hosted Season 3 of TechSetters, a podcast produced by Kode With Klossy. Committed to creating a more equitable world for all, Etasha leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to build algorithms to solve real-world problems. She is currently working to develop and scale Livity, a social entrepreneurship venture technology dedicated to mental health support. Etasha's innovation in computing has been recognized by companies such as Apple, Bank of America, and NCWIT (National Center for Women & Information Technology). Her Swift coding submission was named one of the 2021 Swift Student Challenge Winners at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference. Additionally, she received the prestigious NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Award, sponsored by Bank of America. Etasha's work as an activist and entrepreneur has garnered recognition from prominent figures such as President Biden and The Royal Family. She has been honored with both The Gold Presidential Service Award and the Diana Award, which is considered the most prestigious accolade a young person aged 9-25 years can receive for their social action or humanitarian work. She has had the opportunity to speak on topics like ethical AI, activism, and tech policy on the international stage as both a TEDx Speaker and a United Nations Science Summit General Assembly (UNGA77) Panelist.
