Eden Wilson is a YouTube Partner, brand ambassador, award-winning entrepreneur, speaker, champion rhythmic gymnast, a former competitor on Lifetime’s Child Genius, Miss Chicago’s Outstanding Teen 2020-2021, and Miss Hyde Park’s Outstanding Teen 2022. She is the owner of Lemonerdy.com and the co-founder of Lemonerdy University.
Eden has developed and produced coding courses for DIY.org, and her coding videos are streaming on Sensical, a streaming platform for kids by Common Sense Media. She has won pitch competitions for her newest venture, Lemonerdy University, an ad-free, peer-to-peer STEM education platform for children. Now in beta, Lemonerdy U was selected as one of five finalists in the 2023 SXSW EDU Student Startup Competition in Austin, Texas. Lemonerdy U was one of 16 finalists in the T-Mobile Changemaker Challenge, the Digital Empowerment Category Winner, and a Grand Prize Winner.
Eden is the winner of the 2024 Girls Inc. of Chicago She Shines Teen Leader Award, one of Girls Inc. of Chicago’s signature leadership recognition awards that honors Chicago’s “strong, smart, and bold female leaders.” Eden was the youngest speaker at Microsoft Build 2023, Microsoft’s largest developer conference. She was the closing keynote speaker for the 2023 Computer Science Honor Society Leadership Summit. In 2020, Eden presented at the AFW Litfest, based in Montserrat, about how to tell stories that make an impact, In 2022, she shared why books are so important. Eden has appeared on BlackDoctor.org discussing everything from the coronavirus and allergies to cancer awareness and was selected for Huffington Post’s 2022 Black History Month feature story on Black teens in America. She has spoken about entrepreneurship and time management with Jack and Jill of America chapters and conducted workshops for youth auxiliary groups for chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Eden also teaches live coding courses for children around the world.
In 2022, Eden was the first runner-up for the Coretta Scott King Service Award from Imani Pearls Community Development Foundation in conjunction with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Chi Omega Omega Chapter, a member of the 2022 ComEd EV Rally First Place Team, a 2023 National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Aspirations in Computer Science National Honorable Mention, a National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Aspirations in Computer Science Regional Affiliate Award Winner in 2022 and 2023.
The youngest competitor in the 2020 Miss Chicago’s Outstanding Teen Competition at just 13, Eden won the Interview, Entrepreneurship, Miracle Maker, and People’s Choice Awards. At the Miss Illinois Outstanding Teen Competition in 2021, Eden won the Fundraising Award, and in 2022, she made the prestigious Top 5. A 12th-grade student at Whitney Young Magnet High School, Eden is a principal’s list honor student, a member of the National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, National Computer Science Honor Society, The Whitney Young Magnet High School Symphony Orchestra, and the social media manager for the Whitney Young Chapter of Best Buddies Illinois and the African American Culture Club. She is also a Varsity Cheerleader for Football and Basketball. She enjoys learning sign language and tutoring with Chicago Teen Mentors.
