Alicia M.

Alicia has been interested in technology since Elementary school, first being introduced through things like video games, consoles, TV’s and the fact that many of the things around her were digital. This made her want to take Digital Information Tech in 8th grade and join the Girls Who Code Club in 9th grade. In tenth grade, she took AP Computer Science and got certified in Adobe InDesign, while also being an active member of the Girls Who Code program offered at her school. During her junior year, Alicia was president of her school's Girls Who Code club, and attended courses to achieve a Unity Certified User Certification in Maya at Orange Technical College through Dual Enrollment. Currently, in her senior year, Alicia is continuing with her course through Orange Technical College and is still an active member of her school's Girls Who Code club. She is also working on starting a SWE club at her school, which she would be historian for. In college, Alicia wants to major in biomedical engineering in hopes of being able to pursue a career in a similar field. But no matter what job she decides, Alicia feels that knowing the basics of technology would aid her in our quickly developing world.
