NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Stories
NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) is thrilled to launch and amplify #AiCstories, which is made possible by generous support from Match Group. This is a national social media campaign that uplifts the voices of AiC Story Ambassadors, who are selected from the AiC Community. These stories may be the words someone else needs to hear to feel inspired and confident about their choices and journey in technology.
Campaign Information
All AiC Community members are invited to raise their voices, share their experiences, and tell their stories to inspire others! The #AiCstories campaign relies on submissions from Community members who can then become AiC Story Ambassadors. Once selected, AiC Story Ambassadors commit to a year of inspiring others through speaking opportunities and sharing their AiC Story on NCWITAIC social media channels. Follow on Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter to be the first to see these stories released!
When to Share

Commitments
AiC Story Ambassadors will be asked to commit to the following:
1. Create Materials & Resources: Work with NCWIT to create digital and print materials to be distributed as part of a multi-media campaign.
2. Share Your Experiences: Collaborate with NCWIT in sharing your story broadly through images, a written biography, videos, and social media. Make posts to your own social media channels about your experiences and journey, too. NCWIT will help provide guidance on this.
3. Speak at NCWIT Conferences and Events: Present and/or speak at events, including conferences, panels, affiliate events, and educational programs.
4. Participate in NCWIT Evaluations: Participate in any related evaluation efforts in order to help NCWIT evaluate our meaningful impact on women, genderqueer, and non-binary people in tech.
In return, here are some of the benefits to you:
- Travel opportunities, such as attending the NCWIT Summit
- Being a role model, inspiring others with your personal journey
- Exposure through NCWIT’s multi- and social-media channels, both to you and what you're doing (getting into college, going into the workforce, etc.)
- Resume Building
- Speaking/Presentation opportunities
- Special networking opportunities with companies
