Florida Panhandle & Southern Alabama
The Florida Panhandle and Southern Alabama affiliate hosted its very first awards ceremony for Aspirations in Computing at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. Our affiliate was proud to honor the National Honorable Mention awardee along with other awardees in the Florida PanHandle and Southern Alabama. The NCWIT Awards for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) honors and recognizes grade 9-12 High School students who self-identify as women, genderqueer or non-binary for their computing-related achievements and interests and encourages them to pursue their passions. Award recipients will be selected for their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing, as demonstrated by their computing experience, computing-related activities, leadership experience, tenacity in the face of barriers to access technology and plans for post-secondary education.

The deadline for applying for the 2022 NCWIT High School awards is October 20, 2022. Applicants' educator endorsements have to be submitted by November 3, 2022.
